Kabini National Park

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, there is no "Kabini National Park" specifically designated by that name. However, there is a significant wildlife destination known as Nagarhole National Park, which is sometimes referred to as Kabini Wildlife Sanctuary. Nagarhole National Park (Kabini Wildlife Sanctuary):

   - The park is well-connected by road. The nearest major town is Mysuru (Mysore), and the park is accessible from Bengaluru (Bangalore) as well.

8. Conservation and Tiger Reserve:
   - It is also a designated tiger reserve, contributing to the conservation of the Bengal tiger population.

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Kabini is often associated with Nagarhole National Park in Karnataka, India. To reach Kabini, you can follow these general directions:

By Air:

1. Nearest Airport:
   - The nearest major airport is Mysuru Airport (MYQ) It is approximately 88 kilometers away from Kabini.

2. Alternate Airport:
   - The Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) in Bangalore is another option. It is about 245 kilometers from Kabini.

By Train:

1. Nearest Railway Station:
   - The nearest railway station to Kabini is in Mysuru (Mysore), which is around 80 kilometers away. Mysuru is well-connected by train to various cities in India.

2. Road Travel from Mysuru:
   - After reaching Mysuru, you can hire a taxi or use local buses to reach Kabini.

By Road:

1. From Mysuru:
   - Kabini is well-connected by road from Mysuru. You can take a taxi or use the state-run buses.

2. From Bangalore:
   - If you are traveling from Bangalore, you can reach Kabini by road. 

Tips:

- Local Transportation: Once you reach Kabini, local transportation options include taxis, private cabs, and sometimes resort-provided transportation for safaris and excursions.

- Entry Gates: Nagarhole National Park, associated with Kabini, has different entry gates. Ensure you know the specific entry gate based on your accommodation or planned safari.

- Accommodations: Kabini offers various accommodations, including wildlife resorts and lodges. It's advisable to book accommodations in advance, especially during peak wildlife tourism seasons.

- Park Timings: Check the park's opening and closing timings, as well as the best seasons for wildlife sightings.
