The park has more than 300 varieties of birds. Apart from common birds like Parakeets, Doves, Partridges, Eagles and Owls. Some rare birds like the Black Eagles and the Crested Hawk Eagle have also been sighted in the park. During the winter months migratory birds such as Graylag Goose, Ruddy Shelduck and Pintails are also seen. Recently the Kaila Devi Sanctuary to the north-east of Ranthambhore National Park and Sawai Man Singh sanctuary towards the south have been included in the park and are now a part of Ranthambhore National Park. The park is open from October to June.

Bagh Dera Jungle Resort has two beautiful jungle cottages and ten rooms. All rooms are well-appointed and our impeccable service standards ensure that guests have a comfortable stay and their tiniest requirements are taken care of. All the rooms are air-conditioned and with attached toilet.
Bagh Dera Jungle Resort offers 3 star facilities for valuable customers. Bagh Dera Jungle Resort has 12 very comfortable Swiss Cottage tented accommodation. All our tents are facing a beautiful garden surrounded by lush green trees. We have all modern amenities with modern bathrooms and we are situated in a zero pollution zone.
Bagh Dera Jungle Resort commenced its operation in 2017 the resort is located very close to the reserve area of Ranthambore National Park, near by the villages of Sherpur and Khilchilpur in the state of Rajasthan. The resort is only five minutes drive from Ranthambore National Reserve gate and three and half hour by road and two and half hour by train from Jaipur. Our resort is located in a beautiful Guava Orchard, far away from the hustle bustle of the city life.
Currently we have 12 luxury air-conditioned tents at Bagh Dera Jungle Resort. Luxuriously designed with living area, dressing area, beautifully appointed bedroom, a large bathroom (which is a permanent structure) and a private verandah.
The bedroom area is outfitted with a large queen-size bed. Each bathroom has 24-hours hot and cold running water. All bathroom accessories are provided by one of India's leading brands of herbal products.
The dressing table also doubles up as a writing table. Luggage racks provide ample space for storing. All furniture is made of old hardwood and bears the legacy of a bygone era when elaborate tents were used by royalty during hunting expeditions. Outside of tent there is a Veranda where you can sit and feel the nature.
Ranthambore National Park
It is situated 12 kms from Sawai Madhopur and gets its name from the Ranthambhore fort situated within its boundaries. The Ranthambore National Park is situated amidst the Aravalis and the Vindhya ranges surrounded by vast tracts of desert ecology of Rajasthan. It spreads over an area of 392 Sq. Kms of thick forest covered with nullahs and water falls. The park has a tropical dry deciduous and tropical thorn forest type of Vegetation. Important tree species include Acocia, Lencolh, Leela, Beri, Aaam, Dhok and Flame of the Forest. Rajbag, Padam Talab and Malik Talab lakes are a paradise for wildlife and are full of Lotus and Nymphaeas. The Herbivorous animals include Blue Bull, Sambhar, Chinkara and Cheetal . Sambhar deer is the pride of the park and nowhere else in Asia can one see these deer during day time. The tiger is the biggest attraction of the park. Ranthambore is considered one of the best parks in the country to see and observe the tiger. Carnivore in the park include the Leopard, Ratel, Caracle, Jungle Cat ,Fox and Jackal.
DINING
In view, Bagh Dera Jungle Resort aims to provide very friendly services, guests may choose to dine wherever they wish. It has one open garden restaurant and has covered restaurant as well. The highly attentive and professional Bagh Dera Jungle Resort staff does its utmost to meet guests every need and request. We are serving multi-cuisine veg. and non veg. food, made of fresh garden vegetables mostly grown on-site, the dining area is a great place for breakfasts and lunches. Dinners are mostly served al-fresco under the stars and around a bon-fire. Authentic entertainment performed by a local BHAT (special musician caste and dancer), complete the evenings. We are growing different organic vegetables close to our resort and these vegetables are used for cooking. The resort uses fresh meat from a local butcher. Bagh Dera Jungle Resort has a good cook for typical Rajasthani food called Dal Bati Churma also.
